It is with great and humble pride that we are officially launching Griff Marshall Outdoors. For many years, this idea has swirled around our family, and now it’s coming to fruition. For this first year we will primarily focus on Lower Deschutes River fly-fishing adventures, both single-day and overnight camp trips. As many of you know, this has been my favorite place to go to work for nearly a decade. Over the last twelve months, I’ve focussed on building a beautiful, functional and comfortable camp for multi-day trips. And now we get to use it!

The new website has all the info as to what we do on the river. Please visit the site and look around. And obviously, I’d be hugely grateful for any people you send our way. To me, the river is still a magical place, and it will be my honor to share it with as many folks deem me fit to do so. The river opens April 22nd. I’m predicting excellent early-season fishing and camping conditions, so if you or someone you know might be interested in putting together either single or multi-day trips, please reach out.

Our primary goal will be to get outdoors more often! To that end, we hope to expand our services to supporting other people’s adventures, exposing enthusiasts to the importance of Wild and Scenic Public Lands, teaching the importance of zero-impact camping, living by the ethos that we take only pictures and leave only footprints, and cultivating a broader understanding of our role as stewards of the outdoors. We will lead adventure groups, outdoor photography trips, support rafting trips, etc. All with the goal of ensuring everyone we come in contact with leaves with a better understanding of our responsibilities in protecting the wilderness we love and need.

Our website will be a place for all lovers of the outdoors –not just anglers– to stay connected, informed, motivated and stoked! Our ambition is to continually offer perspectives on how we can positively impact our environment. To that end, we are hoping to provide commentary from others intimately involved with environmental issues as well as links to topical media we find along the way.

Social media outreach and engagement will play a large part in our mission. We ask that you share our Instagram and Facebook with those in your circle who will be both entertained and motivated by our content. The more, the merrier! And more importantly, the more we’ll all be able to positively impact our environment.

We welcome all input and suggestions for how to better enjoy, respect and protect our Public Lands and Wilderness areas.

We look forward to hearing from you!
